PB&J Pedals Boost Factory With yet another 2-in-1 pedal review coming at’cha today, we’ve been fortunate to be able to check out some great multiple-use pedals recently, and today’s featured bit of gear keeps the hits coming. While the Overdrive/Boost combo isn’t too uncommon, there aren’t many with both the simplicity and options of today’s gem. Combining two already fantastic pedals from PB&J Pedals into one, the Boost Factory gives your rig the best of two effects worlds while saving space and looking classy at the same time.

The Swag Boost side is just that: a three-stage boost pedal, with a tasty toggle switch for adding a bit more treble into your tone if need be. With the three stages being buffer, clean boost and slightly dirty boost, there’s plenty of options to go around, especially for a one-knob pedal. The Surf Drive Deluxe side also contains a simple gain structure, one that would normally just have one control knob as well. On the Boost Factory, however, PB&J has added a new Attenuator knob, which acts as an output control for the Surf Drive side, so that you can crank up the dirt but also control the volume. There’s an order toggle switch as well present here, allowing you to decide which order these two effects will go in, with either way being the correct one, no matter what signal chain article you read online might say.

Once again, Philip at PB&J Pedals has managed to build on his pedal lineup, taking a couple of great-sounding and simplistic pedals, combining them into one enclosure, adding a couple of fun options and producing a super-useable pedal that will easily find it’s place on any pedalboard you can think of. The Boost Factory isn’t too fancy, but it does exactly what it says, and has an extra bit of sparkle that really makes it shine and make your amp sound the way you knew it was meant to. There are plenty of other pedal options at the PB&J Pedals website, too, so head on over and tell Philip we sent you!
