We love discovering pedal companies that we have never heard of before, no matter how long they may have been around, and seeing out-of-the-ordinary, innovative and exciting new pedals, ones that really break the traditional pedal molds, and offer something completely new and adventurous. If there was ever a pedal to do that, it’s the Chaosmic Fuzz from Rabbit Hole FX, so let’s see what she’s all about!

On the top row of controls for the Chaosmic Fuzz, Gain starts things off, and features a nice range of distortion and fuzz, from semi-mild to big and heavy. Chaos is a cool and unusual control, as it morphs from dynamic growling fuzz tones all the way to searing upper-octave inter-modulating madness. Level controls the fuzz signal volume, something that you most definitely want to be able to tame (or not, depending).

The second row of controls looks like this: Low, High and Clean. The Low knob produces frequencies in a range from the thin, maddening buzz of mosquitoes to the terrifying resonance of a swarm of giant hornets, while the Highs go from deep, dark fuzz to scalpel-sharp piercing tone, with a ton of other diverse noise combinations nestled deep within their respective frequency spectrums. The Clean is a rad knob as well, not always found on fuzzes, but surely welcome, as it adds in as much or as little of your guitar’s clean signal as you want, for producing perfectly a balanced (or unbalanced) sonic mesh.

The word Chaosmic is perfect for this pedal, as it is a true fuzz beast that throws chaos around without a second thought, and can get into some terrifying and almost spacey territory with ease. This being the flagship pedal from Rabbit Hole FX, we are certainly excited about whatever they’re going to come up with next, and can’t wait to review it for you guys here. Thanks so much to Adam and Safia for sending this unique fuzz monster our way to try and tame – please go check out their site and get your Chaosmic Fuzz today!
