Jellyfish Electronics Blinding Voip Boost

Most (not all, but most) boost pedals are fairly simple, many times just having one knob to control the output volume, and nothing else. So, it’s always refreshing to come across a boost that has a little more meat to it, and some nice equalization options as well. Which brings us to today’s pedal: the Blinding Voip Boost from Jellyfish Electronics.

While it’s true that the Blinding Voip does possess that ever-popular option of actually BOOSTING your guitar’s signal, there’s more to this hand-painted red gem than meets the eye (or ear, if you prefer). Aside from the requisite Volume knob, there are also Tone and Mids knobs, too, much to my delight upon opening the Blinding Voip’s box. Tone allows complete control over the highs and lows of the boosted signal, resulting in an easy-to-dial-in tone machine, that knows when to beef up the lows and cut the highs. In addition, the Mids knob allows for total control of the middle frequencies as well, and, while working in conjunction with the Tone knob, allows for absolute power over your signal, without being to overbearing at the same time, and letting your pickups and amp shine through.

What’s this? A great boost pedal with plenty of volume, plus a killer EQ section as well? Well, sign me up! The Blinding Voip is also true bypass and hand-wired, and it looks funky as can be, too.
