Options. Sometimes, you just want a simple, straightforward pedal that you don’t have to think much about. Other times, you want the ability to have variety in your pedals’ tones, and have more controls and switches to play with and be able to easily manipulate. The Cerberus Custom Overdrive from Anasounds is sort of a mix of these two, as it both delivers a multitude of tonal options, but is still very easy to use and find the exact drive sound you’re looking for.
The controls are relatively basic for a drive pedal: Gain, which adds in saturation and crunch to your signal; Tone, which acts as an EQ and is more geared towards the mid-range, tonally; finally, Volume controls the pedal’s overall output, which is capable of delivering up to +12db in boost. Here’s where the options come into play. There’s a fourth main control switch present on the Cerberus, and it is a clipping diode selection switch. First is a soft clipped LED, next comes a hard clipping option with 4 or 5 small threshold voltage silicon diodes, and finally another hard clipping selection with 2 high threshold voltage silicon diodes. These three options possess the range and ability to get a plethora of awesome drive tones with ease, and make dialing this pedal in an absolute blast!
On top of all this, there are FOUR, yes FOUR internal controls as well. There a trimpot for controlling the Roll Off, which either adds loudness to your overdriven signal, or it can also add boost and saturation, depending which way you turn it. A Tone switch adjusts the range of the frequency utilized by the Tone control knob, while the Asymmetric switch can add a fifth diode to the second selection on the clipping diode control knob we talked about earlier. Finally, a second trimpot allows you to adjust the brightness of the LED when the pedal is engaged. Talk about being able to customize your overdrive!
The Cerberus is one nice overdrive, with a tone of tones and options as well, making it useful in any given musical situation. The jacks are mounted on top for space-saving on your pedalboard, and the carved wood top is a beautiful and aesthetically pleasing design feature. Super customizable and incredible-sounding, this is one overdrive you won’t be disappointed with. Thanks to Alex and all at Anasounds for making this review possible – I know France is a long way away, but these pedals are worth the wait!

Nice review Mike!
You totally understood the main purpose of this pedal.
You could find any overdrive sound by customizing the settings inside and outside. Outside settings are simples but enough to play many hours on it ! 😉
In addition, although you’ve never opened it up, you just plug and find a really transparent and sounding overdrive.
See you on next reviews !
Alex.
