Today, we’re diving into the wild world of synth pedals – the Console 84 Dual Oscillator Guitar Synth is unlike ANY I’ve come across, however, which makes it that much more compelling. Conceived and tested over the course of a 5-year journey, this creation comes to us via Parasit Studio in the northern part of Sweden. Based around the features and the limitations of the AVR32DB48 microcontroller, the main inspiration here is music and the sound chips from the 8-bit computers and consoles…let’s dive right in, shall we?
The Console 84 is a great guitar synth pedal inspired by the sounds of 8-bit computers and consoles. It’s musical, versatile and just plain fun. It has two digital oscillators with envelopes, detune, octaves, glide, 7 different types of modulation, a pseudo random pattern generator, the ability to have overlapping notes when switching between the oscillators and a mean-sounding fuzz mode. It can also save up to 5 of your favourite settings.

- 100% original design
- Digital oscillators based on AVR microcontrollers
- Sound engine written by Parasit Studio
- Analog square wave fuzz (in fuzz mode)

The Console 84 is just one of those pedals that you look at and think, “Wow, this is gonna be fun”, and then it turns out you were 1000% correct. It’s also a pedal (like most, I suppose) that you have the hear to really understand what it is about – in our demo below, I run through just about every aspect of this pedal I could find, making some beautiful, chaotic and not-for-everyone music along the way. For ordering and more info, be sure to visit the Parasit Studio website – I cannot wait to see what thier next creation happens to be, too…cheers!
