Electric Love FX Norrsken Fuzz

I’m extremely honored to once again be a part of the 3rd annual effects pedal release from Electric Love, whose sole purpose is to aid research to help find a cure for Breast Cancer. The pedals created by Ben Carlin have a different design, feel, look and tone every year, and the model for 2024 is simply amazing. This one features a collaboration with another of my favorite pedal companies, too, letting you create unique and intriguing sounds while supporting a very important cause…let’s check it out!!

Ben at Electric Love creates a new batch of effects pedals every year, donating 100% of the profits of their sales to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, and we’re proud to have been along for the ride since the beginning. This year’s creation is the Norrsken Compressor Fuzz, based off of the obscure Swedish fuzz, the Carlin Compressor. This is also a collaboration with Jamie Stillman of EarthQuaker Devices, and it sounds amazing.

While you can basically run the Compressor and the Fuzz circuits separately by turning the respective Fuzz and Comp/Sus knobs to minimum, combing these two effects together create some magical tones, unheard in a single pedal before. The Comp/Sus knob acts as a voltage attenuator for the fuzz, with the two sides working together to build a unique relationship. Add on a three band EQ section (Bass, Mids, Treble) and you’ve got all the tools necessary for exceptional tone-shaping possibilities and sonic experimentation. There’s lots of knob-twisting and exploration to be had with this special circuit, and I think you’re really gonna dig it.
