Today, we’re heading back into the wonderful world of Keeley Electronics, with one new-ish pedal and one brand new creation, both coming out of the Overdrive camp. The Muse Driver sees Keeley collaborating with guitarist Andy Timmons once again, while the Noble Screamer harkens back to classic, battle-tested drive tones. Each of these pedals have modern options, a wide spectrum of sounds and that superb Keeley build we all know and love…

Keeley Electronics Muse Driver Andy Timmons Full Range Overdrive

The Muse Driver is an overdrive workstation that allows you to orchestrate everything from a clean boost to a treble supercharger, a chimey tube-amp overdrive to a square-wave, germanium fuzz generator and more. You get a classic blues driver circuit with decades of Keeley mod experience, along with a germanium-based overdrive crafted with Andy Timmons direction. The Drive and Tone toggles let you choose from a variety of sounds, customizing exactly what you need for your rig.

Keeley Electronics Noble Screamer Overdrive and Boost

The Noble Screamer is a 4-in-1 pedal that gives you two very familiar drive circuits and two brand new amp-like distortion tones that no one has used before. It’s almost like pedal-modeling, except these are 100% analog circuits, and you decide which tone-control or clipping-section you want to play through. Combine your favorite parts of different overdrive & boost pedals, and create hybrid sounds no one has ever played through before. The Tone toggle lets you choose between two control circuits, while the Drive toggle offers both soft and hard clipping options.

The Muse Driver and Noble Screamer both sound fantastic on their own, but stack ’em up and you’ve got a whole new powerhouse of sound to deal with. In our demo below, we check out the individual strengths of each pedal, then pair them together at the end for a rocking good time, so be sure to check that out. Visit the Keeley Electronics website for more info on both of these as well, and stay tuned for some more stuff from OKC coming up in the next little while…cheers!!
