Aclam Smart Track® Pedalboard with Fast Fasteners

Normally, we’re pretty focused on Effects Pedals themselves here at Pedal of the Day, but there’s an important part of the rig equation that we tend to overlook: the Pedalboard. Sure, you can just toss your pedals on the ground to be kicked, dropped, crushed and spilled on if you want, but having an organized setup is much more fun (for a lot of us, anyway, there’s no wrong way to do it, of course!!). Enter our friends at Aclam, whose pedals we’ve come to know and love over the years – they also have an extremely innovative pedalboard division, and we’re going to look at on of their boards and its fasteners right now: the Smart Track® Pedalboard with Fast Fasteners.

The patented Smart Track® Pedalboard allows you to attach your pedals with no need to use Hook and Loop or any other adhesive. Do not stain and devalue your pedals! Grant the preservation of valuable stompboxes, for reasons that go from purely the esthetic, to a better value of the device in case you want to sell it to make space for the new one. The free routing design consists of a slatted pedalboard with spaces to pass cables through, for all the exact customization you could ever want or need.

The Fast Fastener for Smart Track® pedalboards has a mechanism which, thanks to the rotation of the cam when you press the lever with your fingers, will allow you to attach the fasteners with no need of screwdrivers. Reduce the time you need to attach your effects pedals with the Smart Track® pedalboard method. Lock and unlock your pedals with an easy and intuitive movement. Unlock, turn 90º, and lock! A solution for those who prefer not having to carry a screwdriver around and want to reconfigure the pedalboard in a swift and faster manner.

Aclam sent us a Smart Track® S2 Free Routing pedalboard kit, which measures 23.2″ x 11.8″ (59 x 30 cm), which is a perfect size to fit underneath our effects pedal demo table! WE use a lot of different pedals in certain pedal demos, and this setup will allow us to swap gear in and out in minutes, saving valuable time and making our videos sound even better.
