The Dubs toggle selects the number of additional guitar layers that will be mixed with your original guitar signal, while Tightness adjusts how much variation there is in the extra layers of guitar, including variations in time, pick attack, and pitch. The Effect knob adjusts only the level of the overdubs; when used in conjunction with the Dry knob, which adjusts how much of the input signal is sent to the outputs, the desired balanced can be achieved.
