About a month ago, we had the honor of reviewing and demoing a pedal from Harby Pedals called the Centauri Clean Boost/Overdrive, a most excellent Klon-inspired beast that had “it” from the moment we first turned it on. It was with much anticipation that we plugged into another Harby gem for today’s review and demo – the BMF Distortion Sustainer Fuzz. Bringing a classic circuit into the present time, this blue beauty rips and shreds for days and days…
A modern recreation of the green Sovtek Big Muff (7B/7C models) distortion, sustainer and fuzz pedal, the Harby BMF is built using the highest quality components. These include solid anodized aluminum knobs, Neutrik input/output jacks, as well as Japanese capacitors and resistors. The control section here consists of Volume, Distortion, and Tone knobs, with true bypass switching for a pristine original tone when the effect is off. In addition, $50 ($35 if purchased on Amazon) from the sale of each pedal will be donated to Ukrainian humanitarian aid.
Three knobs + killer tone + wide range + helping those in need = PURE GOLD. The BMF Distortion Sustainer Fuzz delivers vintage sounds again and again, pushing the envelope and pushing your amp to the brink. These first two effects from Harby Pedals have been most impressive, and we can’t wait to see what they come up with next. Be sure to visit their website for more info on these gems and how to order them, and be sure to check out our demo video below to hear this monster in action. Cheers!!
