Aesthetics are a part of how we all choose pedals, let’s face it. While everyone’s tastes are certainly different, something that POPS out to us individually can sometimes sway our gear choices, which brings us to today’s featured effect. The All-Pedal Love Machine Octave Fuzz doesn’t just look incredible, it also sounds that way, so let’s dive right in and see what’s in store…
As soon as you engage the Love Machine, you’re instantly transported back through time to the classic era of sought-after fuzz tones. Classic rock is aplenty here, but this fuzz isn’t limited to just one decade or genre, spanning a lifetime of fuzzy goodness with just 4 knobs and a switch. Level, Tone and Gain are the usual suspects to start things off, followed by an Octave knob that blends a wonderful octave up effect in with your fuzz tone.
There’s an EQ switch present here as well. When this one is in the Up position, you get rounder, smoother tones with nice clarity and presence. When it’s Down, the tone becomes bolder, punchier, with a bit more oomph top it. Mixing and matching these two modes with the Gain and Octave controls opens up new and wonderful worlds of fuzz, and will keep you experimenting for years to come.
The Love Machine Octave Fuzz is our first foray into the world of All-Pedal gear, and we couldn’t have started off on a better note. These guys are making some beautiful looking and sounding gear, be sure to visit their website for more details and pedals. We have more of their stuff on the way, too, so stay tuned…but for now, be sure to check out our demo video below, and hear the Love Machine in all its vintage glory, cheers!
