We love Delay, and we love Fuzz. When they’re combined into one pedal, we love it even more. And when that pedal is something new and unique and exciting, it just can’t be beat. Such is the case with today’s effect, the Rad Sauce Electronics Dirtlay Fuzz Delay. A mix between a fuzz and a dirty delay, the sky’s the limit with this innovative yet simple device.
One big knob, one little knob, two footswitches. That’s the extent of the controls here, but the range within them is massive and bold. The huge knob controls the Volume, but is extremely interactive with the Chase control, which sets the delay’s speed. The Hold switch makes the delay repeats go on in infinity, and when you turn the Chase knob while holding down Hold, a whole new world of sound opens up. The Volume control reacts to where Chase is set as well, making this a very experimental, hands-on unit of fuzz and delay like you’ve never heard.
Running on a single PT2399 chip, the Rad Sauce Electronics Dirtlay Fuzz Delay is not like anything we’ve seen here before. Smashing two of our favorite effects into one strange, beautiful enclosure, we’re reminded of how much we love outside the box pedal designs.
