The simple control section on the Distorter is welcome, with just two easy-to-decipher knobs and a lone toggle switch. Volume sets the overall output level, and there’s more than enough to go around here. Distort adjusts your level of dirt, from a crunchy, sustain-filled tone to an all-out blitzkrieg of metal, thrash and death wrapped into one. The Shape toggle is an excellent addition here as well, providing two distinct modes to rock out on. In the Down position, the Distorter gives you that classic distortion tone, but in the Up slot, it turns into a fuzz-ish sound, making it a two-in-one of sorts, for a wide range of auditory pleasures to pick and choose from. The all-transistor design gives off a crisp and cutting high-gain edginess, [pushing your amp and eardrums to the brink of complete annihilation.
Easy to operate, great-sounding and extremely affordable, the Distorter gives you a load of choices in a small but powerful package.
