Combining a mythical circuit with a familiar-looking enclosure, the Attic Audio Transparent Overdrive brings you the best of both worlds. Designed to be a little tongue-in-cheek, this drive/boost provides incredible tonal punch, along with being an excellent conversation starter…

Here’s what designer/creator Luke from Attic Audio has to say about it:

“Just like every year I try to celebrate April Fool’s with the pedal community by coming up with a funny or absurd product. Last year I was stuck with no ideas until an EHX and Klon hybrid crossed my mind. The Klon is praised for its transparent drive style (rightly so), so presenting it an enclosure and graphic of a Muff (totally opposite) seemed a bit funny and deceiving! My version of the Klon is similar to most replicas out there (same circuit topology). In my version I’m using D9E diodes. It is also true bypass in a compact 1590BB enclosure. The pedal is made in Malta (EU).”

With very obvious nods to two of the most famous pedals ever created, the Attic Audio Transparent Overdrive not only looks rad, it sounds pretty damn good, too. While this circuitry is nothing new, it really pushes your amp, adding that magical sparkle to your tone that we’re all chasing…without costing $5,000 or more.
