We’re exploring the newest releases from our friends at Flamma today, continuing with the FC13 Analog Phaser. This little gem provides everything a guitarist could want from a Phaser effect pedal, compacted into three simple dials and switches. Let’s jump into these modulated waters and see what all the buzz in about, shall we?
The tonal properties of the Analog Phaser can be determined through two control parameters. Firstly, the effect mode switch can be used to choose between two different effect modes: vintage and modern, with ‘vintage’ being warmer and ‘modern’ being brighter and more dynamic. Once you choose an appropriate mode, you can experiment with the speed dial to determine a phasing frequency that is suitably subtle or explicit for their needs.
The only other control on the FC13 is the footswitch, which is used to turn the pedal off or on. The pedal provides the industry-standard true bypass feature, enabling the unprocessed guitar tone to remain amplified when the pedal is turned off. The status of the pedal is indicated by an LED light, which will remain unlit for bypass mode and alit when the pedal is active.
The simple design of the FC13 Analog Phaser is perfect for a minimalistic effect rig, preventing the pedal’s functionalities from being limited by convoluted user interfaces. It is powered by a 9V DC power supply offering reliable performance for any live or practice environment and offers monophonic input and output for any ¼” guitar cable. We’re loving these affordable but powerful pedals, as always, from Flamma – be sure to check out their whole lineup, and don’t sleep on our demo video below!!
