We continue today on our journey as we review some new pedals from Caline today, bringing some classic tones to the forefront. The CP-505 Wave Machine conjures up vintage chorus tones, while the CP-506 Multimod gives you access to 7 different modulation modes to explore. All things modulation today, kids, lots to dive into, so let’s go…
Based on a classic 1970’s analogue circuit, the CP-505 Wave Machine provides lush, rich shimmering chorus that you’ve heard on hundreds of classic tracks over the past 40 years. An added Level control lets you dial in the perfect amount of the effect to your dry signal, offering endless possibilities from a subtle watery sheen to full on psychedelic vibrato. It sounds beautiful on a clean tone, or ideal to add a rich sparkle to distorted tones.
The CP-506 Multimod offers seven modes with 3 independent controls allowing you access to dozens of really useable tones in one great value package:
Modes:
1. Chorus – a classic lustrous shimmering chorus effect
2. Flanger – a sweeping modulation – from subtle to ‘jet plane’
3. Phaser – a rich deep swirling modulation sound
4. Doubler – creates a classic doubling effect for the fattest riffs imaginable
5. Vibrato – from a soft warble to a throaty throb
6. Tremolo – from a gentle pulsating throb to a helicopter chop
7. Pitch – adds a range of multiple overtones to your sound
The crew at Caline have been making pretty damn good and affordable pedals for years now, and we’re excited to bring a bunch of them to you over the coming weeks. The Wave Machine and Multimod add gorgeous modulation to any rig, creating lush, vintage-sounding tones that ring out for days. Be sure to check out all the pedals in the Caline lineup, and don’t forget to watch both of our demo videos for these great effects below – cheers!!
