Today’s pedal is not one that your casual musician will get, or like, or want to have anything to do with, and that makes it all the more rad. The mad scientists at Industrialectric have been conjuring up crazy experimental gear for years, and the 567-M Modulation Machine keeps that streak alive and well. Lots of knob-twisting, ear-piercing and general sonic confusion give you a slight idea about what this pedal is capable of…
The 567-M provides three unique modulation effects, which are selectable with the RING/BIT/ARP toggle switch. They create Ring Modulation, Bit Crushing, Data Corruption, Vocal/Vowel Effects, Waveshaping, Arp/Trem/Pulse/Rhythmic Movement, Distortion, Fuzz, Filtering Oscillation, Glitch, Stutter, Self-Contained Noise and so much more. Select your effect, then manipulate it with parameters like Modulator Range, Modulator Sweep and Gain, as well as the ability to select between four distinct channels for each modulation effect. This pedal is LOUD, unpredictable and a whole helluva lot of fun.
In our demo video below, we used a Boomerang+ Phrase Sampler to record a loop, which was input to the 567-M, as well as a Jazzmaster making noise over top. Needless to say, there are some useable sounds here, and some not so much, but it’s hard not to smile when listening to what this pedal can do. Congrats once more to Industrialectric on creating another wild, inspiring device – be sure to head to their website for more info on this and all of their innovative machines. Cheers!
