As much as I like longer, drawn-out, ambient delay sounds, there’s something to be said for a good, short, analog-sounding delay effect. Whether you’re adding a little bit of slap back, or just coloring your lead tone perfectly, they have a place in all different types of music. Enter the Full Mojo Electronics Echo Trip Delay – this Peruvian pedal features three knobs, two switches and a whole lotta creativity…let’s check it out…
Although it’s a digital delay with a digital chip at its heart, the Echo Trip Delay has warm, natural repeats, much like a classic analog delay. The 400ms range of delay time makes it perfect for rockabilly sounds, solo voicings and even a wide, atmospheric presence. The Mix, Delay and Feedback knobs are what you’d expect, but there’s more here. The left toggle lets you easily choose from Buffered or True Bypass switching, while the right hand toggle clips the repeats, adding a little color and distortion when activated.
In case you didn’t know, elves paint each Full Mojo box and select each piece to finally inspect, sniff, test, approve and pack each pedal they create, and the Echo Trip Delay is no different. We had a great time checking out the Funkifer Envelope Filter a couple weeks back, and are excited for what comes next from Full Mojo Electronics. If these two pedals are any indication, the future is looking bright for these guys – be sure to visit their website and follow ’em on all the socials. But before you go, be sure to check out our demo video below – cheers!!
