Thimble Wasp Effects Time Lapse Delay+

I’ve never made any claim other than the fact that Delay is far and away my favorite effect, so when something like today’s pedal comes through the door, there’s a LOT to be excited about. The Thimble Wasp Effects Time Lapse Delay+ crams everything you love and would need about a delay pedal into one board-friendly enclosure, along with a slew of gorgeous sounds to spark your musical creativity. With EIGHT delay modes, including a dotted-eighth effect and a tap tempo switch, the Time Lapse is loaded with the most practical delay needs, plus some custom extras. An FV-1 chip was pushed to its extremes, to get both classic practical features and outside the box creative effects. The eight modes include classics like Tap Delay, Dotted 8th, Tape and Reverse, as well as Inertia and Reactor, two totally unique time/pitch bending delay effects which add immediate excitement and creativity, while remaining musical and easy to use. The Hold effect allows you to hold a drone note or chord while soloing over top, perfect for solo playing or filling out sound in a keyboard-less band.

As for the controls, Time sets your delay time and Feedback sets the number of repeats (for most modes). On modes 1-2 & 5-6, the Character knob takes you from warm repeats that sit back in the mix, to crisp pristine replicas of the input only capable with digital delay; on modes 3-4, it adds modulation depth to simulate the warble in an old tape unit. This knob also controls the 2nd Repeat Oct/5th when in the wild Reactor mode.

There’s a lot going on in the Time Lapse Delay+, and we’re absolutely here for it. With top-mounted jacks and true bypass soft switching, it easily glides onto any pedalboard and plays nicely with the rest of the gang.
