Our friends at Googly Eyes Pedals create some weird and exciting effects units – so far, we’ve had the pleasure of checking out their Synthfuzzier and Delayviator pedals, and we’ve got another one today. A more straightforward, easy-to-control effect, the Gary Boosty is a booster that pays homage to one of the finest actors of our time. Both the effect and the actor get a little wild when cranked up, let’s dive in and see what’s we’ve got here…
With one knob, the Gary Boosty doesn’t take a degree from MIT to figure out how to use it. The internal circuitry uses a silicon transistor to pre-amplify and boost your signal, through a range from subtle tone clean up to clean volume boost to eardrum-rupturing gnarly crunch. This seemingly simple, one-knob creation actually has a HUGE range to be explored, with boost, overdrive and even light fuzz on tap to drive your ears crazy.
Sometimes, you don’t need 12 knobs and 16 switches to make an impact on your sound, and that’s exactly what the Gary Boosty from Googly Eyes Pedals wants you to explore for yourself. With a big range and even bigger tonal structure, this pedal is a great way to start off any board or recording setup. Cheers to the Googly Eyes‘ crew on another extremely unique looking and sounding creation – we’ve got more from them on the way, too, so stay tuned, and don’t forget to check out our demo below!!
