The crew at Discomfort Designs just keeps bringing the thunder with each new release, and while today’s pedal from them isn’t as loud and heavy as some of the others, it’s a force nonetheless. The Passage Through the Hollow Earth Reverb features a simple control section, but in these few knobs lies otherworldly ambient tone, spreading far and wide with each note you pluck. Get ready for a ride, ’cause we’re going straight to outer space with this one…
The Passage Through the Hollow Earth Reverb will create twisted springs, washy plates, and at extreme settings. ambient voids and planet-shaking feedback. This reverberation unit is a tandem circuit using the Belton brick and the PT2399 chip, but remains clean, pushing them to max reverb time without glitches. A momentary ‘Etherblast‘ footswitch will swell the Mix (Intensity) and Decay (Time) controls to the maximum for controlled bursts of havoc. The Reflect knob sets your pre-delay time as well.
