We’ve got something special for you all today, a dual post featuring an effects pedal AND a guitar…from the same company. Sometimes, all you need is one good pedal with one good guitar (and an amp, of course), like the Dunable Guitars Eidolon Boost Delay Reverb and the Cyclops DE Series guitar. Both add key ingredients to a successful and tone-filled setup, each adding their own bits of flavor to compliment each other, and build a solid tonal foundation.
Let’s start with the Eidolon – this somewhat limited pedal is meant to boost solos, initially, but with a bit of flair and pizzaz. Created from the mind of guitarist Dave Davidson of Revocation, and engineered by John Snyder at Electronic Audio Experiments, this is a true “desert island” pedal for anyone who uses these three effects in any way, shape or form.
The Delay portion features up to 1 second of crystal clear repeats, as well as a Tap Tempo control switch. The Reverb has quite a nice range for just one knob, going from a short room style decay to a near-infinite ambiance. The final mix of your dry signal and the Delay/Reverb signals may be boosted by up to 21dB of flat IC gain – perfect for a solo boost, or to drown out that drummer that just won’t quiet down (I’m a drummer, too, so this comment is ok).
Now for the Cyclops DE. These guitars are part of the new, affordable lineup from Dunable. Manufactured in South Korea, they adhere to the same stringent quality control that the USA Dunables are known for, and are made for those who want the unique features and high quality Dunable build at a more affordable price. We chose the Tobacco Burst finish for our Cyclops DE, and it looks beautiful right out of the box. Here are some specs on this gem:

Put these two together, and you’re 2/3 of the way to a complete rig. We threw together a fun demo showcasing the sights and sounds of both machines, going through a bunch of settings on each, to see how well they worked and played together. The coil splitting on the Cyclops DE opens up new possibilities, and the three effects on the Eidolon can take your tone in any number of gorgeous musical directions. Cheers to Dunable Guitars on both of these pieces of gear, especially for putting an affordable instrument into the hands of so many who have wanted one for years (us included). Be sure to check out the regular Dunable Guitars AND DE Series websites for more info and ordering, and don’t forget to subscribe and turn on those notification once you’re done watching our demo below – cheers!!
