Crazy Tube Circuits TI:ME Echo Delay

Let’s head back in TI:ME today, into the land of warm delays and vintage echoes. With a nod to classic echo units of the past, the Crazy Tube Circuits TI:ME Echo Delay is a retro-inspired machine, capable of instantly warming your tone. With separate analog and digital paths, tap tempo, modulation and more, this little pedal has a LOT going on.

The all analog signal path in the TI:ME Echo Delay features a high-quality opamp, perfect for improving audio signal fidelity. Two digital recording devices, along with carefully tuned analog filtering, are placed in parallel with the analog dry signal, giving you the most ambient echo unit you have ever heard. The Delay TI:ME ranges from 130ms-720ms via the m/sec knob, or you can max it out at 1 full second when using the Tap footswitch. You also have the ability to select from three delay subdivisions – quarters, dotted eighths or triplets.

The Feed knob adjusts the number of echo repeats, and will get into awesome and wild oscillation territory when maxed out. And, in true analog-ish fashion, the Mod knob lets you dial in some delay modulation, anything from a subtle warble to a smooth vibrato to a complete out-of-this-world sonic experience. Hold down the Tap switch, and the repeats/feedback are maximized, too, again causing that incredible oscillation.

You can even open up the TI:ME and select from True (Relay) or Buffered Bypass, depending on what works the best for your particular rig or setup. You can even run this baby on 12V if you wish, though it sounds sweet as can be with the regular 9V. There’s a lot to explore and a lot to see/hear in this pedal, so be sure to check out our demo below (and subscribe to our YouTUbe channel, too). The Crazy Tube Circuits TI:ME Echo Delay brings a classic sound into our modern world, while preserving everything we love about the old, vintage echo units. Thanks to Crazy Tube Circuits once again for letting us check this one out – be sure to visit their website for more info. If you’ve got the TI:ME, we highly recommend this echo delay pedal…
