There have been some incredible modulation pedals coming out recently, and we are excited to bring you another wonderful effect from that list today. The CopperSound Pedals Polaris Analog Chorus Vibrato gives you two independent depth levels for the Chorus and Vibrato sides it contains. Along with a couple of other tricks up its sleeves, this purple beauty has all your wobbling, warbling needs covered.
Based loosely on the classic Electro-Harmonix Small Clone, the Polaris uses BBD (Bucket Brigade) technology to produce true analog modulation effects. Two depth knobs, Focus and Focus II, allow you to set 2 completely different levels of intensity and swap back and forth between them, instantly. Implementing a Tone knob, you can also cut or boost the lower bass presence to taste, and pair it up with the Volume knob. These two work together to sculpt your initial sound, and Volume gives you an extra bit of boost should it be required.
There’s a Mode toggle present on the Polaris as well, letting you effortlessly go between the Chorus and Vibrato modes. Each of these behave differently, and are a blast to sit down and dive into, producing a luscious, sweeping modulated sound with loads of options and flavor. True bypass and hand-crafted in the USA, the Polaris Analog Chorus Vibrato brings all the aspects of these two types of effects you could want in a pedalboard-friendly enclosure. Cheers to our friends at CopperSound Pedals on this one – we’re excited to have the chance to check out some more gear of theirs, so be sure to visit their website for more gear and info. Our demo below runs through all things Polaris, be sure to stay for the whole thing, and don’t forget to subscribe…cheers!
