Today, we continue our journey into the DCP Dual Series of pedals from our friends at Caline. So far, we’ve been delighted with all of the effects combinations they’ve come up with, and the DCP-01 Artemis Compressor Boost pairs two of our favorites together. Used independently or in tandem, these two sides exist to enhance your sound, and we think they do a damn good job of just that.
The compressor side is Caline’s CP-47 Pressure Tank Compressor, featuring simple Level, EQ and Comp parameters for you to manipulate. Anything from slightly compressed to full-on squish is available here, with the EQ also providing some tone-shaping abilities. The boost side features Caline’s CP-97 Recluse Boost (check out our review/demo here), which features a range of +2dB – +20dB. These both work well as single effects, but the magic lies in combining them, for a powerful start to your signal chain.
