We’ve seen a LOT of klone pedals come through here, as is evidenced by our Klone Wars series on YouTube. Each one, while wanting to get a certain base sound, has its own uniqueness and quirks, making them all special in their own right. Today’s pedal, the Noise Space Audio Klone, builds on the mythical tone, offering up a couple of not-usually-seen options, for a well-rounded and dialed in tone.
If you want to build a good klone, you must have the three classic parameters onboard: Gain, Treble and Output. These staples allow you to find the perfect sound for your rig, whether its as a clean boost, a low-gain drive or something with a little more dirt on it – the choice is yours. The Noise Space Audio Klone, however, takes it up a notch, providing two toggle switches to alter what you hear. The Left one is a Mode toggle, letting you choose from a stock setting, or Sparkle Boost mode, which aims to achieve more saturation and harmonics. The Right toggle controls your Low Frequency Amount, with Less, Stock and More options here.
This Klone uses NOS USSR ?9? diodes, which were used in the original Klon, while replacing the Electrolytic capacitors in the audio path with high-quality film capacitors and audio-grade electrolytic capacitors. All in all, it looks great, sounds fantastic and gives you all the Klon feels you’ve been searching for, in a tough enclosure and quality internal parts, to keep it shining for years.
