Danelectro 3699 fUZZ Octaver

We have been loving the Vintage Pedals from Danelectro, and have the final effect of their current lineup for you today. Following in the footsteps of The Breakdown, Eisenhower Fuzz, Back Talk Reverse Delay and Roebuck Overdrive Distortion pedals, the Danelectro 3699 fUZZ Octaver brings a vintage and classic effect back into the fold. Improving on the classic FOXX Tone Machine, this vintage looking-and-sounding beast brings classic fuzz to your pedalboard, with a bit of a twist as well…

Danelectro owner Steve Ridinger created the FOXX pedal line in the 1970’s. He priced the FOXX Tone Machine at $49; today the originals sell for $600+. The 3699 fUZZ Octaver brings back this original circuit with some important tweaks. The octave is way more pronounced (and foot switchable), the tone is warmer, and there is a “mids boost” toggle that counteracts the mid cut of the original pedal. Velvet tone for sure!

We love the power of this fuzz, and the addition of the octave into it takes the tone to an entirely new level. Vintage and modern at the same time, the 3699 fUZZ Octaver sounds just incredible, blistering amps and eardrums at every turn. Since this is the last pedal in the current lineup, we can’t wait to see what effects Danelectro revitalizes in the (hopefully) near future – be sure to check out their website for more info, and don’t miss our demo below to see and hear the 3699 in action!
