Warm Audio Jet Phaser

We love a good phaser here at Pedal of the Day, and we say, the bigger the better! Well, today’s featured pedal is about a big as they come, bringing a vintage classic back to life, and combining incredible phasing with a wee bit o fuzz on top. The Warm Audio Jet Phaser recreates a classic 70’s phase shifter made popular by Larry Graham (Sly and the Family Stone), giving you gooey swirls and pulsing rhythm for days…

A hyper-authentic recreation of the Roland AP-7, the Jet Phaser accurately reproduces the circuit AND look of the original. Bringing along with it True Bypass switching and a much smaller price tag than the original units, this beast gives you THAT classic funk flavor, in a modern package. The first four selections in the Mode dial are the “JET” effects, each offering a unique combination of phasing and fuzz:

– Bright fuzz/shallow phase
– Bright fuzz/deep phase
– Dark fuzz/shallow phase
– Dark fuzz/deep phase

The pedal’s output is controlled by the Jet knob when in these modes, which can be used as a signal boost if need be, too. The “Phase” modes produce traditional phasing effects, with the first having moderate modulation depth, for more subtle sounds, and the second with increased depth, resulting in more exaggerated results. The Resonance knob works with all of these modes, allowing you to dial in varying amounts of filtered sci-fi craziness.

The Slow Rate knob sets the main modulation speed, but the Jet Phaser has another trick up its sleeve. Engage the Fast/Slow switch, and your modulation rate kicks up to the maximum possible, basically giving you two speed options on the fly. Continuously hitting this switch will give you in-between speeds, producing organ-like tones and other wild experimentation.

Sounding great on guitar, of course, the Warm Audio Jet Phaser is also brilliant on bass, keys, drums, vocals and more. It runs on the supplied DC adapter or on batteries, and the rugged steel chassis with wooden side panels is tough enough for any gig or tour excursion.
