Lately, we’ve been getting back into the simplistic way of life with our reviews, and we’ve got another plug-n-play gem for you today. The Cooltone Pedals Tremolo features three controls, for easy dialing in, yet with a nice range of sounds. Modulation pedals are sometimes best when simplified, and that’s exactly what this tremolo does to your rig.
A modern version of a circuit often built into old valve amps, the Tremolo modulates your signal in an extremely rhythmic way. The Level, Speed and Depth controls give you exactly what you need to set up the perfect tremolo tone, while the build quality makes everything sound superb. There are buffers on both the Inputs and Outputs, ensuring good connectivity with other pedals and amps, and the True Bypass switching leaves your original signal in tact when the effect is off.
The input impedance is high so as not to load your guitars pickups, while the output impedance is low to effortlessly drive other pedals or amplifiers, even over a long cable, with no loss of tone. Encased in an all-metal enclosure, the Cooltone Pedals Tremolo uses a high-quality circuit board, which is hand soldered, as well as other top end components throughout. This is our second pedal from these guys, after the Echoverb, and we are nothing but impressed with how these pedals look and play. Cheers to Rob and all at Cooltone Pedals, we can’t wait to see what they come up with next!
