We’ve always had fun with the wild creations the folks at VVco Pedals keep coming up with: the Delayrean Analog Delay, Dark Knight Distortion, Pickle (Rick) Fuzz…but today’s just might take the cake, personally. Designed especially for my 7 year-old daughter, to coincide with her Squier Hello Kitty guitar, and built into a die cast Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 model, may we proudly present to you the Kitty Chorus Vibrato!
How they cram all of the circuitry they do into these cars and objects, we’ll never know, but they do it well and clean. This particular pedal features control knobs for modulation Depth and Speed, as well as two toggle switches. One moves between Chorus and Vibrato modes, the other lets you select from Wobble or Space options.
The different configurations available between all of these controls make for some fun experimenting, and the effect itself will go from barely audible to pulsing and deep in an instant. The Wobble and Space options have their own strengths, allowing you to precisely dial in the exact vintage or 80’s-flavored sound you’re looking for with ease. It runs on a standard 9V power supply, and big rubber feet have been installed to keep it from rolling away, right off your pedalboard.
Unfortunately, we’re not referring to YOUR pedalboard, as this is the ONLY pedal of its kind in existence. Whether the VVco folks choose to start making them a regular thing is up to them, but it’s kind of rad knowing that we own something so unique and special, that was created just for a kid’s pure enjoyment (she loves it, in case you were wondering). We can’t thank the VVco Pedals folks enough for this one (and Hello Kitty agrees) – be sure to check out their website, as well as our other reviews of their gear here at Pedal of the Day. Don’t forget about the video below as well….cheers!
