Vaderin Pedals Cherry Fuzz 'Stainer

About a month ago, we checked out the flagship effect from Vaderin Pedals, the Tone Fox Overdrive Distortion, and were blown away by the build and the sound. Today, we’re embarking on a journey with their next creation, the Cherry Fuzz ‘Stainer, a powerful, fuzzy distortion concoction with emphasis on high frequencies, serious sustain and slight octave harmonics. Strap in and faster your set belt, ’cause this fuzz is gonna Blow. You. Away.

The Cherry Fuzz ‘Stainer is comprised of a 2-transistor circuit, equally as heavy as it is tart. Either rhythm or lead duties are easily handled here, and your guitar’s volume control will clean up this distortion sound in a flash. This low-gain tonal character is gritty with a hint of octave, resulting in numerous settings from both the pedal and your other gear.

As you turn the Fuzz knob clockwise, you increase the fuzz presence, adding more and more grunge to the mix. The range here goes from a tight square wave attack to a completely blown-out fuzz. The Hi-Boost knob boosts the frequencies at 1.6kHz and above, which helps to boost and articulate the treble without sacrificing any low end.

Fuzzes usually work best at the beginning of your signal chain, but the Cherry Fuzz ‘Stainer will fit in ANYWHERE on your board. From low-end tightener to a more stable and unique Fuzz Face sound to a 2nd stage fuzz destroyer, no rules apply to this gleaming red and white beauty. We’re excited to have Vaderin Pedals in our little clubhouse, and can’t wait to see what their next release happens to be. For now, though, please check out out demo below to hear how this one howls and crushes (and don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel) – cheers!
