Teisco Boost

A good boost can add sparkle, shine, nuance and gusto to any tone, and we’re thrilled to have yet another one in the house today. The Teisco Boost looks like another simple boost, but once you realize all the options, bells and whistles its got, you’ll need to add it to your sonic arsenal instantly. Whether you need a tone-enhancing buffer or extra ‘oomph’ for your drives and amps, this one covers it all.

Just like the vintage preamp it’s modeled after, the Teisco Boost is loaded with a field-effect transistor (FET) for softer, more organic clipping. Level sets the output level, while Gain sets the input level. The 3-profile EQ switch lets you select from Normal (slight bass cut), Treble (enhanced highs) and Flat (full range) modes, to specifically dial in your own unique sound. The Input Buffer eliminates any tone suck associated with long cable runs, and if you turn down the Gain all the way, the Boost becomes a buffer with a touch of preamp color.

The Teisco Boost even has a switch to flip from running at 9V to 24V, instantly giving you more headroom and a more open sound. The re-imagined enclosure will provide you with years of reliability, too, featuring recessed screws, removable feet, a textured base plate for better velcro sticking and a premium zinc housing for extra toughness. This is not your grandfather’s boost pedal, folks – this is a modern day marvel.
