Zander Circuitry Junipero Aqueous Modulator

We’ve been waiting patiently to get a shot at today’s pedal after seeing the developments and progress being done on social media. The Zander Circuitry Junipero Aqueous Modulator takes 8 different modulation effects, stuffs them into a nice, big enclosure and gives you a TON of options as to how to use them. These classic sounds can sound as vintage or modern as you’d like, and there’s a lot to cover here, so let’s get to it!

Drift away into an ocean of modulation, where the waves never stop and carry you into new sonic spectrums.” You can certainly say that again. This box of wobble and wooze is inspired by post-punk, new wave and shoegaze musical genres, and they’re all easily achievable with Junipero. The eight different modes are:

– chorus/vibrato (with detune)
– multi-voice chorus
flanger
phaser
tremolo
– harmonic tremolo
– vibrato & tremolo
ring modulator (with aliaser)

Rate sets your modulation speed, while Depth sets the intensity. CTRL is a secondary parameter, that works differently depending on what mode you’re in. These options range from detune to blend to feedback to frequency control and more. Tone sets the EQ for the Wet signal, Level controls your output volume and Mix is a Wet/Dry blend control. You can also choose from 5 note subdivision modes (quarter, dotted eighth, eight, triplet and sixteenth notes) and 5 presets, which are easily adjustable on the fly if need be.

Junipero is also fully stereo, splitting the effect signal in two, effectively tossing you down a modulated rabbit hole from which you may not want to ever escape. If you’ve got 15 minutes to spare (you know you do), check out our Stereo Demo below (and please subscribe on our YouTube channel as well). We run through all of the modes, some different settings, presets and much, much more, a perfect way to relax on a Saturday morning (or whatever day of the week it happens to be when you’re reading this). Congrats to Alex and the Zander Circuitry team on finally releasing a beast of a modulation pedal – all of your hard work as most certainly paid off. Cheers!!
