Bardic Audio Devices Goblin Fuzz

Sometimes, simplicity is the best way to approach something, and that is true of most two-knob effects pedals. Today’s offering, Bardic Audio Devices Goblin Fuzz, takes this concept of simplicity and applies it to one of the heavier pedals we’ve had in the shop in quite a while. If the names of the knobs don’t terrify you enough, just wait until you hear this thing rip through your headphones or speakers…..whoa.

Two dirt controls. No volume. No limits. No nonsense. The Goblin Fuzz doesn’t hold back, crushing your eardrums and amp right out of the gate once it’s engaged. The left parameter, Horde, sets the primary gain level. It has a big range as well, going from a softer (kind of) sound to all-out sputtery madness. The right parameter, Death, controls the secondary gain, or fuzz. Set them at different levels, try to turn them down or tame them…nothing works. You’re in it to win it, and if you want a real fuzz pedal, you’ve come to the right place.

Simple setup, lots of tones, a little bit frightening, all fuzzed-out glory. The Bardic Audio Devices Goblin Fuzz encapsulates everything it means to be a down n’ dirty effects pedal, and then pushes it right over the edge of the sonic cliff. Our first foray into the land of Bardic Audio pedals, we’re excited (and also sort of scared) to see what they come up with next. To witness the true power harnessed inside this gem, check out our demo video below. But remember to proceed with extreme caution….
