We love spreading the word about affordable but good quality pedals around here, and no one does it better than Caline. From the Ghost Rain and Rangnarok Reverb/Delays to the Pegasus and Wolfpack Overdrives to the Big Dipper Pitch Shifter and more, there’s always coming up with new ways to get great sounds into the hands of any player out there. We’re gonna get a little heavy today, if you don’t mind, thanks to the Caline CP-77 Bounty Hunter Heavy Metal Distortion. Anyone want to rock?
There’s not a ton to the CP-77 Bounty Hunter Heavy Metal, but the range is wide and the sounds are crisp. Clearly taking inspiration for some modern high-gain amplifiers, this one takes overdrive and distortion to the next level. The Volume, Miss and Distortion controls let you find the perfect sound you’re after, ranging from a nice, chunky rhythm tone up to full-on, balls-to-the-wall metal tone for soaring leads and innovative experimenting. Plus, you can switch between Classic mode, which offers a more compressed tone, to Extreme mode, which really accentuates the tonal structures of today’s modern high-gain players.
Built with a sturdy, full aluminum alloy shell for durability and wired for true bypass switching, it’s hard to beat these pedals at their price point. Where else are you going to find these tones and attention to detail for less than $40, right? The CP-77 Bounty Hunter Heavy Metal Distortion might not sound exactly like a $2000 amp head, but it’ll get you fairly close for a lot less cash. Cheers once again to our friends at Caline, we’ve got more from them on the way, so stay tuned.
