Kasleder FX Dirty Little Thing Overdrive Boost

TUBE. SCREAMER. These words are loved (and sometimes hated) by guitar players the world over. So many classic sounds from some of the best players ever have come via the Tube Screamer, including Stevie Ray Vaughn, John Mayer, Trey Anastasio, Eric Johnson, The Edge and many, many more. With so many variations and models, not to mention the price tags for some of the more sought-after pedals, its hard to know where to start with these green monsters. Unless, of course, there’s one pedal to rule them all. Today’s beast, the Dirty Little Thing, is 13 years in the making, and may just be the last TS-style pedal you’ll ever need.

The crew at Kasleder FX made sure to not only NOT alter that sound character you have heard on so many records, but also to make an improvements on the less preferred features of the original circuit. Things like True Bypass, less bass loss, more drive, and a totally transparent clean sound when the Gain is at minimum are some of the important aspects at work here. The internals are as top notch as it gets, too, utilizing a Made in Japan 4558 OPAMP, NOS “mojo” diodes, NOS carbon comp resistors, Nichicon gold & green series caps, Wima high-end audio caps and Lumberg connectors.

With the Dirty Little Thing, you get tube-like overdrive sound, smooth clipping distortion, and all the sustain you need for solos and lead runs alike. Although the Tube Screamer circuit has been duplicated many, many times, it’s not another version, it is a next level effect. Providing more Dirty feel for your riffs, a Little more vintage sound and some of that Thing that can boost your amp, this is a pedal that you’ll want on every pedalboard you’ve got. Cheers to the Kasleder FX crew on a wonderful creation over a decade in the making – be sure to check out our demo below to hear it in action, as well as their Pelion in our Klone Wars series, and check out their website for this and all of their other amazing sonic creations.
