There’s just something about Analog Delays – the warmth, the nostalgia, the modulation. It all adds up to one of our, and many other musicians’ favorite effects pedals. Older analog delay have limited delay time, control over the modulation and just features in general. Today’s pedal has an abundance of all of these, and more – the Syncopy Analog Delay from Stone Deaf FX boasts long echoes, more modulation than you could ever need and enough presets to last a lifetime.
Analog delay of the past usually topped out around 450-500ms, but the Syncopy gives you double that, at just around 1000ms. Time, Tone and Level are the main delay parameters you can control here, as it expected of this type of effect. Taking things a step further, this orange gem has Feedback and Mix controls as well, enabling you to almost instantly dial in a tone that is usable and will fit any sound or musical situation.
Holding down the Time, Feedback and Mix knobs at once lets you enter into Secondary Mode, where you have control over the Modulation Depth, Rate and Shape. These open up the doors to another modulated world, twisting and shaping your tones in ways you’ve only dreamed of. There are 4 onboard presets, with an additional 128 that are accessible via any MIDI controller, for more sounds than you’ll ever need. Four tap division settings and a Tap Tempo footswitch let you set your delays in real time, too, giving you still more options to complete this work of art.
Fully analog but with a digital brain, the Syncopy Analog Delay gives you all the quirkiness you want, along with all the control you need, for a delay pedal that will rock your world. The chorus and rotary effects the Modulation provides will wow and flutter your brain, and open up the paths of creativity you’ve been dying to tap into. The Stone Deaf FX crew keeps pumping out some amazing gear, and the Syncopy is no different. Check out our demo below to hear this guy in action, it’s gonna BLOW. YOUR. MIND.
