The Sunn Model T Amp. A classic in the heavy/stoner genre of music, they are known for being loud, having thick, killer overdrive, taking pedals well and putting out bass tones that are warm, natural and organic. Today’s pedal comes to us from Electronic Audio Experiments, and is based off of this legendary amplifier. The Model feT is a Preamp pedal, and while capable of doing the doom-y tones, it works for just about any other musical endeavor, like the original amps themselves. Delivering massive headroom and volume output, this silver fox was created in the true spirit of the amp from which it was inspired.
The Model feT features two channels, as the original amp did: Normal and Brite. Here, you can blend the 2 circuits seamlessly, for a vast array of tonal glory that’s just waiting to be explored. Going beyond the standard triode-to-JFET conversion, this pedal sounds fantastic on its own, or when you stack it with other boosts, drives and fuzzes, as it loves to play! The same 3-band FMV EQ comes into play here as well, giving you the ability to dial in the Bass, Midrange and Treble frequencies to your heart’s delight. A Master volume knob rounds things out, letting you harness or unleash the power you get to deliver to the masses.
