Jonny Rock Gear Moby Depth Reverb

Reverb pedals come in many shapes and sizes, from a simple one or two-knob configuration to the most outlandish, extravagant effects machines on the planet. Today, we’re going to look at one that harkens towards the simpler side, but that by no means means isn’t absolutely powerful as can be. The Moby Depth Reverb from Jonny Rock Gear utilizes Accutronics™ (Belton) digital reverb technology, resulting in a lush, exploratory reverb effect that makes it unique, and stands out amongst other reverbs in its class.

The Reverb knob controls the overall volume of the reverb and effects loop insert, while Decay sets the length of the reverb effect. Tone is a brightness control, enabling you to shape and sculpt the reverb tone to fit the rest of your rig. Use Mix to blend the wet effected signal with your dry sound, and Regen to control the amount of effected signal sent back in the reverb (Feedback). Regen can be switched on or off via the toggle switch, depending on your sonic needs.

In the Effects Loop, the Send jack goes through the Input of any outside effect pedal, and Return receives the output of the pedal(s), completing the loop. The Regen and Depth controls work in tandem as well, with more Depth producing a more powerful, deeper Regen effect. From a short spring type of reverb to the experience of being swallowed by a giant whale, the range here is wide and wonderful, creating tones that run a thousand miles into the deep.

The Moby Depth is housed in a powder-coated, die cast aluminum enclosure w/silk screened art work, and features a DC output w/negative center, compatible with a standard 9VAC adaptor, and a 5mm Ultra Violet LED On/Off indicator. Professional Jacks Neutrik® NYS229 (In-Out), and NMJ4HCD2 (Send, Return) round out the impressive quality components here, completing a tough, well-built machine made to last for years and years. This is our first foray into gear from Jonny Rock, hope to have more coming your way soon.
