SviSound Germanium Fuzz Mini

It’s been a minute since we had something from SviSound come through the shop, but their designs and enclosures are so unique, it’s always worth the wait. This go round they sent us the Germanium Fuzz Mini, a small, simple but boisterous effect that begs you not to judge by size, but by stature. Able to squeeze onto any pedalboard, as well as deliver blistering fuzz tones, this is a powerful little monster that is just hankering to be unleashed on the world.

The controls don’t take an MIT graduate to figure out: Volume sets your output, and Fuzz controls the amount of distortion that gets dialed in. That’s it! This full metal enclosure also houses rare ex-USSR military transistors, runs on regular 9V power and has true bypass circuitry as well. Set the volume where you want it, and slowly turn up the fuzz until you reach your desired mark…or, keep cranking it until it’s maxed out and all the windows in your house have been blown to smithereens, it’s completely up to you.

Mini pedals sometimes seem like they take a hit from pedal purists, like they’re not good enough to stand up to their bigger counterparts, or aren’t able to keep up sonically with their bigger brothers. Well, the Germanium Fuzz Mini from SviSound absolutely proves those claims to be false, and will completely rip a hole in your amplifier if you’re not careful (not really, but maybe). Cheers to another rad little design and execution of a tiny but enormous effects pedal – be sure to hear it in action in our demo video below as well!
