We recently had the opportunity to check out the Distortion 1 from LunaStone Pedals, and were more than impressed with its build, layout and incredible sound quality. Following in those exact footsteps, today’s pedal from LunaStone is a different animal overall, but retains the quality that these guys are putting out in their effects. The Red Fuzz 1 gives you the feel and power of a true Marshall stack in a small box that will easily fit on any pedalboard, without any of the cost or back pain associated with the real thing.
Tackling the fuzzy, distorted tones from the 60’s and 70’s, ala Jimi Hendrix and others, the Red Fuzz 1 has a control section you might expect, but tones that you might not. Volume is a master output control, Low Cut sets your EQ and Fuzz gives you complete control over your distortion amount. Basically, you’re getting the result of a classic fuzz and a stack smashed together into one single piece of fat and beefy rock and roll hardware. BAM!
As with the Distortion 1, the parameter knobs are angled specifically so you can control the Volume and Fuzz with your feet, for hands-free, on-the-fly operation. Plus, there’s a built-in, fuzz-friendly buffer installed so it will play nice with all of the other pedals in your chain, for seamless integration with any rig. Full of over-saturated, thick fuzz sounds throughout, this pedal gives you a fuzz in front of a cranked amp sound with ease. Thanks to LunaStone Pedals on another quality rocker of an effect – be sure to hear it in action below in our demo, and don’t sleep on the LunaStone website to discover all the wonders that await you there…
