Guest Review: Meris Polymoon DelayToday’s guest review comes to us from Dominick F. – you can find him here on Twitter. Thanks again, man!

The Meris Polymoon is an incredible delay pedal based off of old Rack unit modules. With relative ease create lush reverb sounds or even syncopated rhythmic trails.
With up to 1200ms of delay with or without tap tempo and premium analog JFET inputs, this beast offers crisp and clean high quality audio.

Onto some of the controls:
TIME – Self explanatory, this is how quickly or how slowly your repeats will occur.
FEEDBACK – How many repeats of your original signal will flow before it fades out
Mix – Also known as WET knob, this controls how much of the original signal is present.

And now the fun ones:
MULTIPLY – This little beast will articulate your repeated signal from standard single, dotted eights, or even strange (in time) rhythms and grooves using your signal.
Dimension – Described as a smear will effect the effected delay signal. With this knob dialed up it’ll blend one note into the next creating a reverb style effect with nice tails.
DYNAMICS – To explain this one without hearing it wouldn’t do it justice, you’ll hear in the video included it is a flanger; a flanger that can be altered by holding the alt-function controls to change the speed and even six different LFO signals.

The Polymoon is a delay pedal for someone who has grown tired of the standard delay. Meris will not settle for the norm of tape, analogue, or digital when it comes to their products and it shows. That isn’t to say you can’t achieve a ‘regular’ sound from this pedal, but it begs the question… Why would you want to?

With a plethora of unique sounds that can make your music stand out in a crowed why would you ask for the same old thing?

Okay I’ll quit being so preachy, and give you some reasons I personally love this pedal:

1.) The audio signal is so strong, even putting it at the end of my chain did not effect the sound.
2.) The operation can be as easy as you need it to be, if you are the type to set and forget, you’re able to do that or if you want to dive in deep bring a map and learn to explore.
3.) It plays nicely with other pedals, not just overdrives and fuzzes but with other delays and even reverbs. Believe it or not this pedal is placed AFTER my Reverb (Dark Star by Old Blood Noise // Eterna Shimmer by Mr black) It stacks very nicely with other delays and octave pedals.
4.) It can be used as a Reverb, and it’ll actually sound good. This is where the dimension and the mix shine. Imagine the clarity of your note or chord with just a nice little splash of reverb in the background, this is totally doable with this pedal.
and finally…
5.) It piques curiosity and encourages change. Ever hit a writing block? Me too, throw the knobs all over and riff off of that, I haven’t found a sound I hate doing this yet.
