We’ve been checking out the lineup from Cathouse Pedals over the past couple months, and today we bring you the last one in their current lineup. The Fuzzy Tongue is a brilliant take on the classic Fuzz Face, complete with old germanium transistors for authentic 60’s-style fuzz tones and more. With a simple control section and loads of sounds on tap, this little pink mystery will have you rocking and rolling in seconds flat, and wanting to come back for more.
Fuzz and Volume. Done. Love pedals that just focus on the sound, rather than on a ton of knobs and switches (although, we sure love those, too). There’s a ton of sustain throughout the range of the Fuzz knob on the Fuzzy Tongue, giving off warm and inviting sonic pleasure as you crank the dial slowly onward and upward. And with plenty of Volume to be had as well, there’s a guarantee that you’ll never get drowned out over an overzealous bass player or drummer, even though they’ll probably try anyway. The transistors are matched and biased as well, making each pedal sound perfect to your fuzz-loving eardrums.
Boasting rich, creamy saturation and two knobs full of limitless tonal possibilities, the Fuzzy Tongue is everything you want from a fuzz pedal. From a chunky, low-rumbling fuzz to a big, fat, expansive roar, there’s a lot of ground to cover here, and you won’t waste your time exploring every nook and cranny of this beast. Thanks again to Cathouse Pedals for sharing their lineup with us over the last little bit of time – we’re excited to see what they come up with next. Plus, they donate $5 from each pedal sale to animal rescue groups, so head on over and buy a pedal NOW!
