fuchs audio technology royal plush compressorThere seem to be a lot of compressors coming out lately that are really complex and intriguing, and while that can be fun, sometimes you just want a simple compressor pedal with easy controls and great sound to throw into your rig, set to taste and forget about. However, you might not necessarily want to same circuit that’s been redone a million times over the last couple decades, but something newer, edgier and a bit more modern. These features are exactly what today’s featured pedal aims to accomplish may we present the Royal Plush Compressor from Fuchs Audio Technology.

With a simple 2-knob control configuration, the Royal Plush makes it easy to dial in a great tone. The Volume controls the overall output of the pedal, while the Bias knob controls the amount of compression that is added into your main signal. Working these two knobs together will yield some impressive compressed sounds, from a nice and clean boost to warm and smooth compression, and with specially chosen internal audio components, low noise and zero distortion are all but guaranteed. The compressed sounds have a nice range to work with, so dialing in the right amount of juice from this pedal is a cinch, and will really fatter up and smooth out your tone with ease.

Boasting a simple signal path, the Royal Plush uses an actual photocell inside, for studio compressor quality and sound. It also uses a unique dual polar power supply, for a wide signal swing and noise-free operation. With other features such as heat-cured silkscreen labeling, true-bypass, Cliff switch, Neutrik connectors, metal shaft controls and premium boutique quality passive components selected for tone, there’s not much not to like in this bold purple pedal. Make sure to go check out Fuchs Audio Technology‘s website to see their impressive lineup of amps and pedals – they continue to put out amazing gear, so check back here as well for more reviews from us!
