For starters, the max delay time of the Aqua-Puss™ is 300ms, so it might initially seem like there’s not enough range or something here, but if you use it right, you can coax some beautiful tones and killer delays out of this shiny blue box. Plus, you can really get some incredible analog slap back sounds easily, and the Aqua-Puss™ gives off a real ambient kind of vibe, making it almost reverb-like in certain settings as well.
Three simple knobs make up the control section of this delay. Blend mixes your wet and dry signals to taste, Delay measures the overall amount of the delay time and Feedback controls your repeats. Nothing fancy or groundbreaking, just all the knobs you need for some great delay tones. The Feedback knob works double duty, too, as once you turn it up past about 3:00, it rages into a self-oscillation mode that is unpredictable at best, turning this seemingly simple delay into a sonic powerhouse that can be utilized in many musical situations.
