As a self taught guitar player, I’ve been trying to find ways to get some practice playing along to a rhythm track. CD’s, prerecorded backing tracks, loopers, you name it, I’ve tried it. They get old pretty quick, or my playing skill isn’t good enough.
I started hearing about the Trio a few months ago and was pretty curious. I got the chance to get a demo of the pedal and was hooked. This thing is super user friendly. Really intuitive to use and tons of fun. When I first took it out of the box, I noticed it’s not a lightweight. It’s solid and feels sturdy.
There really wasn’t much in the way of a manual, which is good and a little scary (the full manual is available at Digitech‘s website). But you really don’t need that much instruction to use. Within minutes of unboxing, I had a great sounding bass and drum backing track to jam along with.Using the most basic chord progression. There are so many variables to play with and choose from, I can see this “Band in a Box” keeping me busy for quite some time.
Just so much fun to play with.
