The Harvester is a limited edition mid-range overdrive pedal produced by Walrus Audio of OKC USA
The Harvester features bass, treble, level and drive knobs along with both a low gain and a high gain toggle switch. The amount of overdrive is entirely up to you. With the gain option set to low you’ll have extreme clarity, and a nice bit of break up to really help push your chords over the edge. Kick on that high gain though, and be ready for some hot tone and depth to consume your amplifier.
The Bass and Treble knobs are a great addition to any overdrive, and exceed expectations on The Harvester; they give you the ability to dial in your perfect tone without having to reconfigure your amp settings. The bassist in me turns the bass up and the treble down for a wide crunchy sound, while the guitarist in me does the exact opposite to for light dirt.
My Harvester is always on, and locked into a rich and transparent break up to kick some dirt up from under my riffs when I’m playing more aggressively.
CURRENT SETTINGS:
LOW-GAIN TOGGLED ON
LEVEL: 1 o’clock
DRIVE: 11 o’clock
BASS: 10 o’clock
TREBLE: 2 o’Clock
(Using above settings)
With just some small tweaks and a flip of the gain switch you could easily change this into a fire-ball of sound. From a transparent and light break up to a thick and ravenous distortion The Walrus Audio Harvester has earned a permanent spot on my board.
The following clip starts clean, to low gain and ending with high gain.
After these first 3 clips, the pedal will remain at the aforementioned settings while I play various tunes.
