The name Behringer is not known for its boutique music gear but this little guy sure surprised me. I had purchased the DD400 for $25 USD from my local Guitar Center as a backup delay. I ended up using this delay more often than I thought. With a very easy to use layout, anyone can dial in a great delay! The Behringer Digital Delay has a very warm and full sounding delay to it. The echoes sounded true to tone and did not die out quickly. It has two outputs for stereo recording/playing which is very useful.
The only downfall would be the plastic design. I always made sure I was careful when activating the pedal to avoid breaking it. It seems a solid build of plastic, but i did not feel like testing the durability. I used this pedal as a second delay in front of my DD20. Mostly it was used for ambient sounds/swells. Within the first 30 minutes of playing I found a great delay for ambient and went to it before my DD20 when adding fills and pad noises. I really enjoyed this pedal and felt that it was well worth the little money it cost. I feel that this is a pedal that any level of player can use, and just because it says Behringer instead of Strymon, does not make it less of a pedal in my opinion.
