If there one thing i’m picky about, it is how my drive sounds. Some pedals add too much color, some are just too harsh…We all have that sound we like that’s pleasing to our ears. The Yellow Drive from T-Rex Effects makes sounds pleasing to mine. This is a two-in-one drive pedal with channel A and channel B. Both channels have their own Level, Gain and Tone controls, so you can tinker with the sound to your liking. Channel A is the lower gain stage of the two, and produces great sounds from blues to rock, and even some country. I set my channel A for my all around drive setting with medium gain and boost my signal just a bit. Great for rhythm stuff and just jamming out.
If you like heavier stuff or want to punch it up for solo stuff, set channel B up for that. Already out of the box channel B has more gain on tap, so crank it up to punch out of the mix, or just crank up the gain for you heavy rockers.
