Aguilar Filter Twin Dual Envelope FilterHave you ever wanted a pedal that will bring some funky attitude to your sound? How about this Aguilar Filter Twin: this is that one pedal that you can turn on for instant fun and especially funky vibe. Basically, it’s envelop filter with tons of versatility, meaning lots of options. Your signal will go high and low, soaring across a universe of funky tones (sound groovy enough for you?). This pedal is designed to work for bass, and it excels at it, but it has especially found real estate on my personal guitar rig! Ever hear someone use wah as a filter for ambient wash-outs? Ever hear someone play with a wah in general? With four knobs and it’s perfect sensitivity to your attack, those sounds are at your foot step. In my honest opinion, if you are willing to learn how to use this beast and all of the options it provides, you will succeed at finding “the funk.”

The Filter Twin has four knobs: A blend, threshold, and two velocity knobs.
• Blend- allows oneself to mix between two velocity knobs. This is where you will find a lot of the funky magic.
• Threshold- determines the range of the envelop filter.
• Velocity knobs- two knobs, an up /\ and a down \/. The velocity down knob has a “closing” wah effect, while the velocity up knob has an “opening” effect. Turning these knobs towards the right speeds up the effect. Therefore, in conjunction with the blend knob, you can control how much of each effect you want in your signal and how fast you want each effect to filter. Pretty cool huh?

Other features include:
• A True Bypass switch and a “Gig Saver” ability which automatically goes into true bypass when the battery dies or when an adapter fails to power the pedal. This allows your signal to still come through to your amp no matter what happens.
• This pedal has a mono in and out.
• Can be powered by using a battery (over 70 hours of use!) or a standard 9v power adapter.
